CNC precision machining for high-performance applications

Some parts in specific sectors have to be right. Exactly according to drawings, tolerances and material requirements.

At BO-Solutions, we produce precision metal parts for demanding and high-tech machines and installations.

These are components for:

  • Mechanical engineering
  • The medical industry & parts for semicon machines or chip machines
  • Pharma, food & automation
  • Energy, offshore and defence

We are the strategic, long-term partner in production: we think along with you about manufacturability, tolerances and process from day one.

METALWORKING WITH HIGH-TECH EXPERTISE

What distinguishes us is not only our high-tech machinery, but especially the way in which it is worked with

We offer:

  • 5-axis milling for complex geometries in one set-up
  • Statistical process control (SPC) and digital quality monitoring
  • Real-time monitoring of production and planning
  • 3D measurements to within 5 micrometers accuracy with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) – calibrated measuring equipment for complete quality control
  • Reverse Engineering for Legacy Parts for Which No Longer Exists
  • Co-engineering, co-creation and manufacturability advice for new projects and prototypes

In this way, we not only make high-quality precision parts, but we also build a production process that moves with your planning.

/ ALL ABOUT CNC MILLING

Machining metalworking with technical challenge

What do we do? Machining metalworking. Remove material in a controlled manner until the part does exactly what your application requires.

Our specializations:

  • CNC metalworking:
    • CNC milling in 3-, 4- and 5-axis configurations (tolerances up to ±0.005 mm)
    • CNC turning / metal turning – especially complex shapes and composed parts
  • Post-processing & fine processing:
    • Grinding
    • Honing
    • Lapping
    • Broaching and grooving (internal and external keyway profiles)
  • Engineering & metrology:
    • CAD/CAM Preparation
    • Measurements on calibrated CMM down to 5 microns
    • Co-engineering, co-creation & manufacturability advice

Applications:

  • Prototypes and piecework or single pieces
  • Small series, medium series and high-mix/low-volume parts in metal or plastic
  • Spare parts and remanufacturing parts

In short: we are your CNC partner if you are looking for quality, flexibility and precision.

TURNING AND MILLING SERVICES FOR METALS

Run or mill metal? From machine parts and shafts to sleeves and complex precision parts.

What can we do with our CNC machinery?

  • CNC turning in metal – shafts, sleeves, fittings and couplings for customers in Flanders and all over Europe
  • Combined turning and milling – both operations in one clamping for maximum accuracy and short throughput time
  • Precision parts with critical mating surfaces – seals, bearing seats and connection surfaces that fit perfectly

You work with one CNC partner who masters everything: from coarse machining to ±5 micrometer precision. We produce, you control or are completely unburdened.

MATERIALS: FROM ALUMINUM TO SUPERALLOYS

We process both standard construction materials and challenging, difficult-to-machine metals.

Metals we process:

  • Aluminium (all common alloys)
  • Stainless steel (304, 316L, duplex, ...)
  • Structural steel & tool steel
  • Inconel and other superalloys
  • Copper, brass, bronze

We also process engineering plastics for sliding surfaces, seals and lightweight constructions.

The material that fits best technically: function, wear, environment and cost price determine the choice.

Frequently asked questions about Metalworking

What is metalworking?

Metalworking is the set of techniques used to form, process or finish metal parts. This can range from cutting and welding to machining metalworking such as milling, turning, grinding, honing and lapping. At BO-Solutions the focus is on precision metalworking: parts with close tolerances that must perform exactly according to the drawing.

Metalworking can be divided as follows:

  • Machining metalworking – such as CNC milling, CNC turning, drilling, boring, grinding, honing...
  • Non-machining operations – such as cutting, punching, rolling, forging...
  • Joining techniques – such as welding, soldering, bonding...
  • Post-processing – such as surface treatments, polishing, coating...

BO-Solutions specializes in machining metalworking and precision finishing, including measurement and process control.

Depending on the operation, different machines are used, such as:

  • CNC milling machines (3-, 4- and 5-axis)
  • CNC lathes for metal turning
  • Grinding, honing and lapping machines for precision machining
  • Measuring machines such as CMMs for dimensional quality control

In a modern metalworking company, these machines work together in a digital flow: from CAD/CAM programming to controlled production and final measurement.
