Big shoutout to our Agoria Solar Team who achieved a wonderful second place in the #SasolSolarChallenge. What a ride, what a challenge and above all what an achievement, congratulations top team! #proudpartner
This South Africa Challenge was mainly an eight-day, blood-curdling neck-and-neck race with the winning Brunel Solar Team for our Belgians. Certainly also a well-deserved congratulations to our golden Northern neighbours!
What we find at least as important is that this Solar Challenge inspires young people to consciously choose STEM education. They show the range of possibilities in these fields. The solar cars-from their aerodynamic design to the telemetry used to plan their route to the energy conversion technology-are impressive visual representations of STEM subjects in action. That's what we do it for.
By the way, in the next 24 hours they will have to prove themselves again with their #BluePoint and defend their two-time European title at the Zolder circuit. You go guys!
Local Roeselare project with impact, which we gladly support
The VTIR@Omic1 of VTI Roeselare #VTIR defends our Belgian flag at the Horizon Hydrogen Grand Prix in the Netherlands. A great initiative with a focus on renewable energy, CO2-neutral mobility and STEM education. This initiative shows our young people what technical education and professions make possible. It makes them aware of climate challenges and creates #engagement to help tackle them and look for innovative solutions. #proudpartner of this local project with great ambitions and proud to see our logo showing off on your car. Tomorrow the Agoria Solar Team at the start of the European Solar Challenge with state-of-the-art technology from BO-Solutions
This weekend, on 19 and 20 September, the 6th β24 hours iLumen European Solar Challengeβ will take place at Circuit Zolder. The iESC is the only 24-hour solar car race in the world.
Fifteen solar cars will compete, including the Belgian Agoria Solar Team, world champion 2019 at the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge with no less than 2 cars, the Bluepoint and the Punch 2.
During the day they may only drive on solar energy and at night they may stop a maximum of 2 times for 1 hour to recharge. In addition to the innovative technology, which was co-realized by BO-Solutions, driving skills, aerodynamics and a smart strategy are crucial factors in helping our Belgians to victory. The weather conditions certainly also play a decisive role, so this weekend already looks promising.
The goal is clear: to advance the future of sustainable mobility by pushing the boundaries of technology. Their participation in the competition shows that Belgium is indeed a leader in the realization of innovative technology.
Will our Belgians live up to their favorite place this weekend? We wish our Belgians every success!

Production capacity increases by 10% thanks to the purchase of 2 new milling machines
We have our machine park completed with 2 biggies!
The DMU 75 monoBLOCK, a 5-axis milling machine that is used in the production of high-tech milling operations and the DMC1450V that realises easily a heavier setting of large workpieces. Both high-performance and reliable.

Solar Team opts for BO-Solutions
BO-Solutions is now an official supplier of the Belgian Punch Powertrain Solar Team racing from 18 October 2015 with a solar-powered vehicle in the World Solar Challenge 2015 in Australia.
The main objective of the race is to stimulate research into cars powered by solar energy. The Belgian vehicle will be equipped with high-tech precision parts made by BO-Solutions. These are the very last parts that will be shipped out later to be fitted to the car locally shortly before the race starts.
